Want a higher salary at your job? well here are some tips to help you get that higher pay for your work. So you're at your new job or applying for a new job and your employer asks what do you think your salary should be? How should you respond to this? Well you should give a salary range, you are asked in an interview or on an application paperwork about what you were making before or currently making, and it's okay to say for example I made $50,000 but I would love to maybe bump that up a bit to $55,000 or $70,000.
The key here is to justify why you deserve what you think you deserve, are you open to overtime and maybe travel, did you make or save your previous employer money and what about documenting the added value you have. In your application paperwork you must be honest about what you used to make or currently making because your employer will verify this information. But in the interview giving a range, focusing on what you bring to the company is definitely okay.
